Apple A9 was introduced in 2015 for high-end smartphones and tablets. It uses a 14 / 16 nm process and has 2 CPU cores, reaching about 1.85 GHz. It first appeared in iPhone 6s / iPhone 6s Plus. Samsung made the 14 nm version and TSMC the 16 nm version.
