Apple A5 was introduced in 2011 for high-end smartphones and tablets. It uses a 45 nm process and has 2 CPU cores, reaching about 1 GHz. It first appeared in iPad 2. The original version uses 45 nm, with later 32 nm revisions. In iPhone 4s it runs at about 0.8 GHz.
