Amazfit Bip 5 Unity — Disadvantages

Smartphone editorial team · Updated:

Cons

Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.

Zepp OS has its own app selection rather than the Wear OS store. Check that it supports the services you need; there is no LTE, so connectivity depends on your phone.

The advertised 11 days is a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed result. Frequent GPS use, a bright display and continuous monitoring shorten battery life.

There is no built-in GPS. Recording a route requires a phone, making this primarily a watch for everyday activity.

You cannot take a voice call on this watch. For a conversation, you will need your phone or a headset.

The TFT display cannot match AMOLED for deep blacks and contrast. Compare it with an AMOLED model if watch-face appearance matters to you.

IP68 does not make this a swimming watch. Choose a model explicitly approved for pool use if swimming is part of your routine.

How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?

Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
