Cons
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
CMF Phone 1 has no NFC, so you cannot use the phone itself for contactless payments. That is a significant compromise if you are used to leaving your bank card at home.
The main camera has no optical stabilisation. You will need steadier hands in low light, and electronic video stabilisation is not a substitute for OIS when taking photos.
IP52 provides only basic protection against dripping water under specified conditions. The phone is not designed for immersion or heavy splashes, so keep it somewhere dry around water.
There is no wireless charging, so topping up requires a cable. The standard European box also lacks a power adapter; budget for a compatible charger if you do not already have one.
How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?
Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
