Nothing Phone (2) — Advantages

Smartphone editorial team · Updated:

Pros

Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.

Phone (2)’s LTPO screen can vary its refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. It stays smooth while scrolling and slows down for static content, a useful combination for reading and always-on information.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and up to 12 GB of physical RAM make a capable combination for everyday apps, navigation and switching between tasks. Nothing OS adds handy widgets and plenty of ways to arrange the home screen to suit you.

The 50 MP main camera has optical stabilisation, and the ultrawide also uses a 50 MP sensor. They make a useful pair for everyday shots, architecture and group photos where you need a wider view.

There is 15 W Qi wireless charging, so you can drop the phone onto a compatible stand at home. Reverse wireless charging can also top up earbuds or another small accessory.

The rear Glyph lights can flag selected notifications without turning on the main screen. They are useful when the phone is face down and you want to avoid opening the full notification feed each time.

How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?

Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
