Cons
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
Snapdragon 680 and 4 GB of RAM are best suited to reading, video and light apps. Demanding games and heavy multitasking leave little performance headroom; virtual RAM does not replace physical memory.
The screen runs at 60 Hz, so scrolling is less fluid than on 90 or 120 Hz panels. Its stated 360-nit brightness is better suited to indoors than bright sunlight.
Charging is limited to 18 W, so filling the large battery takes time. There is no SIM-based mobile connection: away from Wi-Fi, you will need a phone hotspot.
The 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras are suitable for documents and video calls, but will not replace a good camera phone. There is no separate 3.5 mm headphone socket.
How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?
Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
