Cons
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
Screen resolution is only 720×1604. Small text and photos look less crisp on this large panel than on Full HD+. Smooth scrolling does not fix that, so check the display in person if you read for long periods.
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 is primarily aimed at everyday use. Messages, video and navigation are within its comfort zone, but demanding games need lower graphics settings. A high screen refresh rate does not guarantee matching frame rates in every game.
There is no dedicated telephoto camera. Distant subjects rely on digital zoom, which loses fine textures as you zoom further. A phone with optical zoom is more convenient for concerts, wildlife or portraits from a distance.
Charging tops out at 15 W for a 5000 mAh battery. A short stop at a socket may not add a large amount of charge, so it is worth planning ahead. A more powerful adapter will not raise the phone’s own limit.
