Pros
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
AMOLED with smooth scrolling
The 6.99″ screen at 1080 × 2396 gives you plenty of room for reading, photos and shows. AMOLED brings deep blacks, while up to 120Hz makes scrolling feel smoother. It is a handy everyday combination, though not every app runs at the maximum refresh rate.
A useful battery reserve
The 7700mAh battery gives calls, messages and navigation a useful energy reserve. That helps when you are away from a socket during the day. Actual runtime depends on screen brightness, reception and how you use the phone.
Room for a memory card
The microSD slot supports cards up to 2TB, so photos, music and videos do not all have to live in internal storage. That is handy when travelling without reliable internet. The card does take the second SIM’s place, though.
