Cons
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
A large, heavy phone
At 240 g and 10.2 mm thick, the format has a cost. Long calls and small pockets become less comfortable. If extra toughness is unnecessary, a conventional phone is a lighter compromise.
No high-refresh screen
The 60 Hz LCD is less fluid than 90 or 120 Hz alternatives. That is acceptable for forms and work messages, but does not make the XCover7 particularly attractive for multimedia.
Charging takes time
A 15 W rating is modest for short breaks. A replaceable battery helps only when you have a spare. We would check battery and dock availability before buying, not afterwards.
