Cons
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
TP-Link Archer C80. This is Wi-Fi 5, without Wi-Fi 6 features such as OFDMA. It remains suitable for everyday use, but offers less room to grow when you are upgrading a network for many newer devices.
Ports top out at 1 Gbps; there are no 2.5 or 10 Gbps connections. That suits a typical gigabit connection, but faster broadband or multi-gigabit network storage needs different hardware.
How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?
Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
