Pros
Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.
TP-Link Deco E4. Deco lets you build one home Wi-Fi network from several units and expand it gradually. Ethernet backhaul is supported, so traffic between wired units need not consume wireless airtime.
Dual-band Wi-Fi lets you put sensors and more distant devices on 2.4 GHz, while using 5 GHz for streaming and downloads nearby. That gives you more flexibility than a router restricted to 2.4 GHz.
How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?
Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
