Samsung Galaxy S26 — Disadvantages

Cons

Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.

Charging: no major leap

25 W wired charging is a compromise if you rely on short top-ups before leaving home. If that describes you, compare actual charging times rather than the words “fast charging”.

Box contents: budget for an adapter separately

The power adapter is sold separately. If you do not already have a suitable one, include it in your purchase budget. Retailer gifts should not be confused with Samsung’s standard package.

Cameras: do not upgrade on expectation alone

One owner is more reserved about the camera than the phone overall. That is a subjective impression, not evidence of a defect. We would advise S25 owners to compare photographs first, especially moving subjects and evening scenes, before deciding to upgrade.

Body: check the fit in person

The new model is slightly larger than the S25. If size was what you liked about its predecessor, do not buy the successor simply because the name is familiar. Your case and grip may matter more than the difference on paper.

Battery life: capacity is not the whole answer

Our main question is whether a charge lasts through your typical day. Battery capacity alone cannot answer that. Complaints about the Ultra or a retailer’s delivery service are not shortcomings of the S26.
