TP-Link Deco X20 — Advantages

Smartphone editorial team · Updated:

Pros

Our editorial view of this model’s strengths and limitations.

TP-Link Deco X20. Deco lets you build one home Wi-Fi network from several units and expand it gradually. Ethernet backhaul is supported, so traffic between wired units need not consume wireless airtime.

Wi-Fi 6 includes OFDMA to share airtime more efficiently between compatible clients. It is a useful fit for a household with laptops, phones and a TV active at the same time.

Gigabit Ethernet avoids a 100 Mbps wired bottleneck. You can connect a computer, TV or network storage by cable to reduce Wi-Fi traffic and dependence on radio conditions.

How do we assess advantages and disadvantages?

Our editorial assessment draws on specifications, manufacturer documentation and available material about the model. It does not imply our own laboratory testing. We distinguish physical RAM from virtual expansion; features and box contents can vary by market. Reference prices are conversions; check the store for the final price of an offer.
